Round 0.5

The tournament begins with all the teams tied for 8th place. If only one team holds the 8th place rank, the tournament immediately proceeds to round 1.

Round 0.5, or the play-in games, are a tie-breaker for all teams tied for 8th place points. These teams will bowl a single game. The team scoring the highest will move onto the tournament. In the event of a tie for highest game, the team with the most total handicap pins to date will progress to the tournament.

ROUND 1

This is where the tournament begins if only one team holds the 8th place finish. Henceforth, in the event of a tie, the team entering the tournament with the highest ranking will progress to the next round. In other words, if you are playing a higher ranked team, you must win the game by at least one pin or you lose the game.

Round 1 includes the teams ranked 1-7 and either the team finishing the league in 8th place or the team winning the play-in games in the event of a tie for 8th place.

The bracket is set up as follows:

Lane 1 – Team #1
vs:
Lane 2 – Team #8/Winner of round 0.5

Lane 3 – Team #4
vs:
Lane 4 – Team #5

Lane 5 – Team #3
vs:
Lane 6 – Team #6

Lane 7 – Team #2
vs:
Lane 8 – Team #7

The 4 winners progress to round 2. The 4 losers are eliminated and are simply pulled of their lanes.

ROUND 2

Round 2 is played between the four winning teams from round 1. There will be one remaining team on each pair of lanes, and each will bowl against the team next to them.

The bracket continues as follows:

Lanes 1&2
vs:
Lanes 3&4

Lanes 5&6
vs:
Lanes 7&8

ALL TEAMS WILL PROGRESS TO ROUND 3

ROUND 3

The finals: This round is played between all the teams from round 2. The two winners from round 1 will play each other for 1st and 2nd place. The two losers from round 2 will play each other for 3rd and 4th place.

The payout structure is as follows:

1st place – 50%
2nd place – 25%
3rd place – 15%
4th place – 10%
